Armed robbery in Harrogate

  • Staff at a Harrogate convenience store have been threatened with what's being described as a bladed weapon.
  • It happened at Bilton Co-op on King Edward's Drive this morning (Friday, 28 February).
  • A man armed with a weapon entered the shop and stole two bottles of vodka after threatening staff.

A man has threatened staff at Bilton Co-op, on King Edward’s Drive.

The incident happened approximately 7.30am today (Friday 28 February) when a man entered the shop and stole two bottles of vodka after threatening staff. He then left on foot, turning left outside the shop towards King Edward’s Drive.

He is described as approx. 5ft 5ins, of broad build, wearing an illuminous green or yellow jacket and grey jack suit bottoms and covering his face with a grey and black striped scarf.

Officers attended and searched the area but the offender has not yet been found.
