A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued. 

  • It covers all of Harrogate, Craven, and Wharfedale 
  • Forecasters are warning of snow and ice 
  • The warning's in place from 9 pm on Wednesday until 10 am on Thursday 
  • The Met Office says it may bring some travel disruption 

The Met Office has issued the alert from 9 pm tomorrow (Wednesday) night until 10 am (Thursday) morning. 

Forecasters say snow and ice may bring some travel disruption. 

Some accumulations of snow are expected, mostly above around 150 m where more than 2 cm is likely in places.

What to expect 

  • Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
