Jet2 cancels all flights to Italy because of coronavirus

Leeds Bradford-based Jet2 has cancelled all flights to Italy until Sunday 26th April because of coronavirus.    

  • Jet2 has cancelled all flights to Itlay until Sunday 26th April. 
  • It's after the Foreign Office issued advice advising against all but essential travel to the country.
  • Other airlines have also cancelled flights to Italy.  

The airline said it was responding to travel advice from the Foreign Office, which is currently advising against all but essential travel to the country.

Jet2 says routes to Rome, Naples, Pisa, Turin, Venice and Verona are affected.  

Other airlines including BA and Ryanair have also cancelled flights to Italy.  

In a statement, the airline said:

"We are contacting customers due to travel to Italy to advise them of their options, and customers who are currently in Italy, to arrange to fly them back to UK.

"The health and safety of our customers is always our number one priority.  We are continuning to monitor the situation very closely and will adjust our programme accordingly."
