Valuable jewellery stolen during Harrogate burglary

Appeal following antique coins and valuable jewellery burglary in Harrogate

  • Valuable jewellery's been stolen from a home in Harrogate.
  • Police believe offenders broke into the property on Monday, where they helped themselves to a haul of jewellery and antique coins.
  • It happened on Fulwith Gate around 11.30pm (16 March).

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred in Harrogate.

It happened on Fulwith Gate between 12pm and 11.30pm on Monday 16 March 2020 when offender(s) forced entry via a side, ground floor window to the property.

During the incident several items of valuable jewellery were stolen - they included:

  • two diamond rings with yellow gold band
  • one ruby ring
  • two necklaces- a pearl and a gold diamond
  • a gold charm bracelet
  • a gold Omega watch
  • a leather strapped watch

A variety of antique coins were also taken including four solid gold sovereign coins and a gold sporting medal with a domino motif on the back.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:

"We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about anyone acting suspiciously around the street and area on that day.
