How many people have tested positive in North Yorkshire, Leeds and Bradford?

  • The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the North East and Yorkshire now stands at 446.
  • In North Yorkshire, there have been four more cases, bringing the total to 24.
  • 35 people have tested positive for covid-19 in Leeds and a further 13 in Bradford.

Official figures show that four more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in North Yorkshire over the last 24 hours.

It brings the number of cases recorded in the area up to 24.

Public Health England figures show that 24 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Monday morning (23 March) in North Yorkshire, up from 13 on Thursday. A week before, there were seven cases.

They were among the 446 cases recorded across the North East and Yorkshire.

Public Health England figures show that 35 people in Leeds had been confirmed as having the infection with an additional 13 cases in Bradford.

Across the UK, 6,650 people had tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Monday, Department of Health and Social Care figures show.
