Official figures reveal two more deaths at Harrogate and Airedale hospitals

  • Two more patients diagnosed with coronavirus have died at our hospitals.
  • The latest deaths happened on Sunday - one at Harrogate District Hospital and the other at Airedale General Hospital.
  • Nationally, the death toll is over 1,700.

Official figures have revealed two more people have died at hospitals within the Stray FM area.

One patient passed away on Sunday at Harrogate District Hospital and another at Airedale General Hospital.

NHS England published its daily report yesterday (Tuesday, 31 March) which shows the biggest leap yet in the number of deaths in the country.

The statement says:

"A further 367 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in England to 1,651.

"Patients were aged between 19 and 98 years old and all but 28 patients (aged between 19 and 91 years old) had underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed."

The number of coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire has reached 83.

Since the outbreak, the national death toll is over 1,700.
