Firefighters in Harrogate have rescued a cat stuck up a tree - but the RSPCA says the service is stretched.

  • The officer who carried out the rescue was so newly-qualified this was his very first job!

Officers from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have rescued a cat stuck in a tree in Harrogate.

The officer who retrieved the cat from thirty feet up is completely new to the job - it was his first call-out!

The RSPCA - the UK's animal rescue charity - posted these ADORABLE PICTURES on social media:

But the RSPCA say they might struggle to keep supporting this sort of rescue as the coronavirus crisis continues.

They're asking for support to keep their animal hospitals running and fund their rescue missions.
