Captain Tom Moore praises school children for their tribute

  • A North Yorkshire school has created a tribute video for Captain Tom Moore.
  • Westfield Primary produced a Lego animation of the veteran carrying out his fundraising campaign in his garden.
  • The war veteran has said 'thank you' for the tribute.

The 99-year-old war veteran who has captured the hearts of the nation has sent a message of thanks to a York school.

Yorkshire born Captain Tom Moore has raised over £27m for the NHS by walking lengths of his garden, and officially opened the temporary Nightingale Hospital in Harrogate yesterday via video link.

Westfield Primary School, inspired by the fundraiser, has produced a Lego animation of the veteran as a tribute which Captain Moore has shared on Twitter.
