Cyclist dies in the Dales

Police appeal for information

  • A cyclist has died following a collision in the Dales.
  • It happened yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 22 April) at Dibbles Bridge.
  • The 66-year-old man was travelling from Pateley Bridge towards Grassington at the time.
  • Police are appealing for dashcam footage.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on the B6265 Hebden Road at Dibbles Bridge.

The incident happened around 4.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 22 April).

It involved a single pedal cyclist who was travelling from Pateley Bridge towards Grassington.

The 66-year-old man sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for a number of hours while police examined the scene.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
