A young girl from Harrogate has raised around £7,000 for charity by completing a 10 mile challenge.

Emily Caffrey has Cerebral Palsy and a brain malformation, and has been using splints and a walker to go out for daily walks during the coronavirus lockdown.

After chatting with her parents, Emily decided to challenge herself to walk ten miles in a week, all to raise money for NHS Charities Together's Covid-19 Urgent Appeal.

Yesterday (Saturday) she crossed the finish line of her challenge, having walked over 11 miles.

Despite setting a target of £500, her fundraising total now stands at around £7,000, and money is still coming in.
