Airedale General Hospital experiences another COVID-19 death

  • NHS figures have revealed another patient has died at Airedale General after contracting coronavirus.
  • It brings the total number of deaths at the hospital to 87 since the start of the pandemic.
  • There have been no new COVID-19 deaths recorded at Harrogate District Hospital in the last 24 hours.

Latest figures reveal another patient has died from coronavirus at Airedale General Hospital.

NHS England has published its most recent figures.

As of 5pm on Sunday (10 May), one person being treated at Airedale General has died after contracting COVID-19.

At Harrogate District Hospital, there have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded.

Since the pandemic began, the total number of patient deaths at Airedale General currently now stands at 87 and 51 at Harrogate District Hospital.


Elsewhere, a further 209 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died.

Patients were aged between 40 and 99 years old.  

12 of the 209 patients (aged between 55 and 97 years old) had no known underlying health condition.  

Their families have been informed.

As of 5pm on Sunday (10 May), of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings within the UK, 32,065 people have sadly died.
