Thank you signs at roundabouts and roadsides

  • Special signs thanking the NHS have been installed around Wharfedale.
  • The colourful rainbow signs pay tribute to all key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
  • They can be seen in seven locations - including at Ilkley traffic lights.

Bradford Council’s Parks Service and Sign Shop have teamed up to install special signs thanking NHS staff and key workers at roundabouts and roadside spots across the district.

The colourful rainbow signs say ‘thank you to NHS and all Key Workers’ and give a number for people to call if they need help.

The signs are in seven locations across the district:

  • Hamm Strasse/Canal Road
  • Ilkley Traffic Lights
  • Hollingwood Lane/Clayton Road
  • Cottingley Traffic Lights
  • Thornbury Roundabout
  • Northcliffe Park (first flowerbed from Bradford direction)
  • Wakefield Road/Shipley Airedale

Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Executive Member for Healthy People and Places, said:

“These signs are a small way in which we can show our appreciation for all those giving so much of themselves by working on the front line of Covid-19. We hope our NHS staff and keyworkers will see them as they travel to work.”
