  • A free take away Sunday dinner service is being offered at Harrogate Harrogate Fire Station
  • It's on offer today and next Sunday.
  • The service is for anyone who has been financially affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

It's for people who may be short of food due to the coronavirus lockdown - or have been financially affected by the pandemic.

It'll also be on offer next Sunday.

Bruce Reid, from White Watch at Harrogate Fire Station, said:

"It was just a gesture really.  White Watch are on duty today and next Sunday, and I just thought it would be nice if, while we're at work we know we can't get people in to eat, there's nothing stopping us cooking and making stuff for people to take away.

"Some people are a little bit embarrassed - there's absolutely no need to be embarrassed or give any explanation or justification - just get in touch and all we want to know is the number of meals that are required."

You can find out more on the Harrogate Fire Station Facebook Page.
