Coronavirus: Help needed for Sunday lunches

Harrogate Fire Station provided 52 roast beef lunches last Sunday for those in need during the pandemic and now help is needed for this weekend's service.

  • Lunches were prepared and delivered for those financially affected by Covid-19.
  • The Facebook group "Covid Co-Operation, Harrogate" has been appealing for donations of produce required to make the lunches.
  • Hutchinson butchers of Ripley have very kindly donated a 5KG joint of beef.

During the past two months, there have been many heroic stories and tales of generosity from all across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale; including that of white watch at Harrogate Fire Station who on Sunday (17th May 2020) cooked 52 roast beef sunday lunches for those who have been affected financially by the coronavirus outbreak.

Susie Little and the thousands of members from the Facebook group "Covid Co-Operation, Harrogate" have got involved and now once more, need your help.

Appeal

Hutchinson butchers of Ripley have been incredibly kind and already donated 5 kilos of beef, a further 5KG joint is required in time for this Sunday (24th May 2020) and eggs along with semi-skimmed milk are also required in large quantities ready for the team at the fire station to provide as many meals as possible. Harrogate food and drink company have come to the rescue with ample veg and so if you're able to help in any way, please message the team on the Covid Co-Operation, Harrogate Facebook group.
