Harrogate's Cambridge Street branch of McDonald's will remain closed for now, due to the Government guidance on social distancing.

There'll be a reduced menu for customers to choose from when the branches first reopen, as fewer staff will be working in the kitchens.

A spending limit of £25 is also being imposed for the time being.

Extra measures will be put in to help protect staff, including:

  • Reduced opening hours - from 11.00am to 10.00pm
  • Additional screens in kitchens and service areas to protect staff
  • Washing hands at least every 30 minutes
  • Face coverings and extra PPE will be worn by all staff
  • Deep cleaning before opening and cleaning surfaces and equipment more regularly
  • Checking the temperatures of staff daily with contactless thermometers
