Four more patient deaths from COVID-19

  • Four more people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died in the Stray FM area.  
  • Two were patients at Harrogate District Hospital, taking the number of deaths to 70.
  • Another two patients died at Airedale General, with figures now reaching 108.

NHS figures have revealed four more coronavirus deaths in the Stray FM area.

Two were at Harrogate District Hospital and another two at Airedale General.

The patient’s deaths were reported on Saturday (6 June).

A further 72 people, who tested positive for COVID-19 have died in hospital in England. 

17 were in the Yorkshire and North East region. 

A Department of Health spokesperson statement reads:

"A further 72 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 27,431.

Patients were aged between 45 and 96 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.  

Their families have been informed."
