An 18-year old from Harrogate is nearing the end of an epic fundraising challenge to raise awareness of a mental health charity.

  • Morgan Glazier is fundraising for Mind
  • He's doing 30 runs in 30 days totaling 465 miles
  • He'll run 29 miles today before finishing with 30 miles tomorrow
  • His aim is to raise £5,000

Morgan Glazier wants to raise £5,000 for charity Mind by running every day this month.

The number of miles he has been running each day matches the date, so today he will complete 29 miles before finishing with a 30 mile run tomorrow. In total, he will have completed 465 miles.

After being diagnosed with OCD, Morgan says he knows the charity offers support and advice for anyone with any type of mental health issue.

Morgan told Stray FM:

"Mind offer a service that allows you to speak to someone who can give you advice. That is the most important thing when you're suffering with any mental health issues because often you can feel alone.

"Having someone there to speak to can really help and guide you in the right direction."

Morgan says it's a charity close to his family's heart.

He added:

"A few years ago my uncle died as a result of his mental health problems and my mum actually ran the London Marathon for Mind.

"I thought I'd do this challenge for Mind as well as it's a charity that's close to my family."
