55 operators attended the 'Honk for Hope UK' event at the North Yorkshire theme park.

The coach and minibus industry has been particularly hard hit by the coronavirus outbreak.

A number of coach companies have gone into administration since the start of lockdown.

Ben Binder, from Abbotts Coaches in North Yorkshire, said:

"Obviously with social distancing measures being a factor at the moment, it's very difficult to operate in these circumstances.  If you were to operate a day tour, for example, how could you realistically make it pay with only ten passengers?"

"We're all working together - hence the meeting today - sharing ideas on how we can adapt and overcome this issue.  Hopefully, as restrictions are lifted, it will make things much easier for us."
