LNER is resuming services from Harrogate, Skipton and Bradford to London King's Cross today.

  • Train services between Harrogate, Skipton, Bradford and London are re-starting today.
  • LNER says it's now running more than 75 per cent of its usual weekday timetable.
  • There are fewer trains running at the weekend though - and if you want to travel there are some restrictions in place.

The rail company is now running more than 75 per cent of its usual weekday timetable, with less trains at the weekend.

You still need to make a reservation in advance, and social distancing measures are in place on trains.

To help protect others, face coverings should be worn in stations and onboard trains.

The company also says onboard ventilation systems will provide a continuing supply of fresh air, with the air cycled every six minutes on all trains.

Enhanced cleaning is continuing to take place both on stations and onboard trains.

Warrick Dent, Safety & Operations Director at the company, said:

"We're increasing our services as the lockdown eases, and we're expecting to see an increase in customers.  So we've increased our timetable to 75 per cent of the normal timetable, serving our morning and evening peaks into our major cities.

"We encourage customers to book a reservation in advance and bring along a face covering.  When you get your reservation, sit in your socially-distanced seat.

"Safety remains our priority."
