Another person has died at Harrogate District Hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

  • NHS England has confirmed the death of a further person in Harrogate from Covid-19.
  • It's the first death to be reported at Harrogate District Hospital in more than a fortnight.
  • The total number of confirmed reported coronavirus deaths in English hospitals now stands at 28.940.

NHS England has today confirmed the death of a further patient at Harrogate District Hospital, after testing positive for coronavirus.

The patient died on 3rd July, their family has been informed.

It's the first coronavirus-related death reported at the hospital in over a fortnight.

The patient announced today is one of 36 deaths reported in English hospitals in the latest figures.

They are one of 5 in the North East and Yorkshire region, but the only one in the Stray FM area, with none at Airedale General Hospital.

The 36 deaths announced today were patients aged between 53 and 98.

All of them had underlying health conditions, apart from two, who were aged 83 and 85.
