An Emmerdale star has helped to re-open a pub in the Dales after three months in lockdown.

The actress - who plays Kim Tate in the soap - helped the pub owners launch new features.

Owner Philippe Dartiailh explains how they're making it safe:

"We have added a new Dales View Bar in the conservatory area at the rear of the pub to enable easy access for people to get drinks from the extensive outside areas.

"We have invested in gazebos and a marquee to enable well-spaced and covered areas outside, which are ideal for families so their children can still play and run around safely.

"Inside the pub we have added screens and implemented a rigorous cleaning schedule, so all our customers and people who stay overnight have complete peace of mind."

The team have also used the time while they were closed to revise the menu, and say they're looking forward to presenting the greater choice to customers.
