TV presenter Ant McPartlin has pleaded guilty to drink-driving at Wimbledon Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.

He was involved in a car crash in Richmond in south west London last month.

The court heard McPartlin was over twice the legal alcohol limit.

He is to face a £86,000 fine, plus £85 prosecution fees, £170 surcharge.

He has also been disqualified from driving for 20 months.

McPartlin's weekly income of £130,000 was taken into account when deciding on his fine.

McPartlin requests to do a drink driving course which would reduce his ban to 15 months.
