Pateley Bridge is a little market town with a big personality.

The High Street offers a wide range of independent shops and places to sample award-winning food.

There seems to be some debate locally over which butcher sells the best pork pie - Kendall's or Weatherhead's.

Other attractions include Nidderdale Museum at The Old Workhouse on King Street, where you can see what early life was like in the Dales.

Every September, around 20,000 people descend on Bewerley Park for the Nidderdale Show, which is affectionately known as 'Pateley Show'.

You can't really leave town without visiting the famous Oldest Sweet Shop.

It's made several appearances on national TV and now features in the Guinness World Records.

Keith Tordoff and his wife Gloria have been serving their loyal band of customers for 20 years.
