Appeal to expand Macmillan services

Macmillan Cancer Support has launched a fundraising appeal to provide a benefits adviser in Harrogate.

3,100 people in North Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer each year and most of them will face extra costs as a result of their illness.

The adviser will offer specialist advice to help ease their concerns, including information on benefits, tax credits, grants and loans.

Harrogate Fundraising Manager Roohi Lupton has spoken to Stray FM about the appeal:
