In the first two weeks of December this year, North Yorkshire domestic abuse charity IDAS had a surge in calls for help.

Christmas is a notoriously difficult time for people suffering from abuse and violence at home.

As the Harrogate Community Safety Partnership launches its annual Christmas appeal, Stray FM has delved into the situation and heard harrowing stories of pain, mental and financial abuse.
