New single Sanctify from Years and Years is out now and Stray FM's Beth Parsons talked to front-man Olly Alexander to find out more.

First coming into success in the music world in 2015, British electronic trio Years and Years have seen huge success in Europe since their debut album Communion

Featuring the chart topping single King, as well as other hits such as Shine, and Eye's Shut, the album has thrown Years and Years into the main stream music world.

Following the one-off release of Meteorite in September 2016 which featured on the film Bridget Jone's Baby the band then appeared to have some down time.

Until now.

Front-man Olly Alexander, alongside Mikey Goldsworth and Emre Turkmen, is now incredibly excited to announce that their new single Sanctify is out now.

Inspired by Britney Spears 2001 track I'm a Slave 4 U  the new Years and Years single is based on Olly's journey of coming out as gay and experiencing the ups and downs of secret relationships with other men who had yet to publically announce their homosexuality.

Stray FM loves the new single and we're confident you will too!
