A Michelin Star-winning chef from Ilkley - who returned from riding the entire route of this year's Tour de France this week - says his achievement hasn't yet sunk in.

Simon Gueller, from the Box Tree Restaurant, completed the three-week ride for Cure Leukaemia, despite suffering two broken ribs and a collapsed lung in a crash ahead of the challenge.

The 'One Day Ahead' ride was set up by former England International footballer Geoff Thomas who was given just months to live back in 2003, but has been in remission since 2005.

The ride hit the headlines when riders were joined by Lance Armstrong (pictured above, with Simon) in his first return to the Tour, since being stripped of his titles.
