Czech Denisa Allertova is leading the way in the women's draw for the second Aegon Ilkley Trophy.

The player, currently ranked number 70 in the world, will head to Yorkshire after a strong showing at the BNP Paribas Open.

She beat world number three Angelique Kerber before losing to world number 21 and British star Johanna Konta in the following round.

Joining Allertova at the Aegon GB Pro-Series Challenger event will be Kai-Lin Zhang who qualified for all four major tournaments in 2015, former top 100 player Evgeniya Rodina, Xinyun Han who won five doubles titles on the 2015 ITF (International Tennis Federation) circuit and rising star Irina Khromacheva who has gone from being ranked 240 in 2015 to 131 since winning at Saint-Gaudens.

Dutch Fed Cup team member Richel Hogenkamp also appears on the main draw for the tournament, alongside former top 100 players Petra Martic and Kai-Chen Chang.

The tournament is being hosted by Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.

General Manager Charlie Maunder said: "This year's entry list brings a wealth of players from across the world, some new talent rising up through the rankings and more experienced players who are making their way back towards the top 100.

"Places in the tournament are still available for those coming through qualifying and I look forward to seeing which players will take those spots ready and willing to play for part of the €42.5k prize fund."
