Paul Beesley has been named as the new manager of Harrogate Railway.

He started his semi-professional career with the club, has previously played for Harrogate Town and spent some time at Station View at the end of last season on his return from a long-term injury.

Paul joins Railway from Scarborough Athletic, where he's been playing this season.

He said: "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to be manager of Harrogate Railway.

"I would like to thank the board for choosing me and I hope to do my best and bring success to the club."

A club spokesman added: "We would like to thank Scarborough Athletic FC for their support in allowing Paul to join Harrogate Railway.

"Harrogate Railway play in the NCEL Premier League and Paul's first game in charge will be on Saturday, away against Barton Town Old Boys.

"Finally, the club would like to welcome Paul and we look forward to a long and successful appointment."
