With 300 days to go until cycling's UCI Road World Championships organisers are on the lookout for volunteers.

  • Harrogate will host the biggest event in the cycling season in September 2019
  • Riders from all over the world will compete for the iconic rainbow jersey
  • A number of races will take place over nine days
  • Organisers need to find 2,000 volunteers and are launching a recruitment drive today

Whilst Harrogate will host the event, Ilkley, Wetherby, Ripon and Nidderdale will all feature.

Here's the full race schedule.

Welcome to Yorkshire say it'll be bigger than the Tour de France.

Here's why you should be getting excited about this massive event.

It will feature Otley's very own former World Champion Lizzie Deignan, who says having the home advantage will be a "massive".

Today a tent will be set up in Harrogate town centre to recruit 'Yorkshire Champions'. Organisers say they will help with the smooth running of the championships and ensure visitors are given a warm welcome.

The Yorkshire 2019 tent is being set up on Prospect Crescent.
