SNOW and ICE warning across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale

Snow and ice expected to cause issues on the roads of Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale this morning

  • Snow has fallen in some parts of the Stray FM area overnight.
  • A Met Office yellow weather warning for snow and ice remains in place.
  • Drivers are being warned to take care.
  • Currently no reports of school closures.

Snow and freezing conditions in many parts of Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale are expected to cause problems this morning.

Snow started to fall last night across our area and could pose some tricky conditions.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of snow and ice for North Yorkshire - this is in place up to lunchtime (12pm).

We're being warned it could be slippy on untreated surfaces, and some public transport may be disrupted.

North Yorkshire county council says it's gritters have been out again overnight. 

However, North Yorkshire Police has issued a warning to drivers:
