Everything you need to know about the seventh day of the World Road Cycling World Championships, as Harrogate hosts the end of two road races.

  • The cycling continues on Friday 27th September 2019.
  • The Men's U23 Road Race and the Women's Junior Road Race take place.
  • The days races start in Doncaster and end in Harrogate.
  • The routes take in Wetherby, Spofforth, Boroughbridge, Ripon, Pateley Bridge and Blubberhouses
  • Road closures begin from 08:00 and end by 21:00.

Which races are taking place at the UCI World Championships on Friday 27th September?

There are two races taking place on Friday 27th September - they are Men's U23 Road Race and the Women's Junior Road Race

They start and finish from the following locations:

  • Doncaster to Harrogate (92km) - Women's Junior Road Race

Where and when are the roads closed for the UCI Road World Championships on Friday 27th September?

There will be a number of road closures throughout the day, with the longer closures being in place around central and western areas of Harrogate.

As those who've experienced the Tour de Yorkshire will know, cycle races involve short rolling road closures along the route. These normally start to come in around 30 minutes to 1 hour before the race is due through, and then re-open shortly after the race has passed through (usually within 15 minutes).

Where can I watch the cycling at the UCI Road World Championships on Friday 27th September?

The UCI Road World Championship Fan Zone will also be open from 10:00 - 22:00, including views of the finish, televised race action on the big screen, entertainment and loads of stalls. The Fan Zone will be located on the West Park Stray.

You are welcome to watch from any part of the route on the side of the road - just make sure you stay safe and back from the road! For the best spots to see all the action watch the video below!
