Everything you need to know about day 8 of the cycling for the UCI Road World Championships, as Harrogate is the end point for the Women's Elite Road Race.

  • The cycling continues on Saturday 28th September 2019.
  • The Women's Elite Road Race finishes in Harrogate
  • The day's race starts in Bradford and ends in Harrogate.

There is a single race taking place on Saturday 28th September, the final event for the women as the elite women take on the road race. 

They start and finish from the following locations:

Where and when are the roads closed for the UCI World Road Cycling Championships on Saturday 28th September?

There will be a number of road closures throughout the day, with the longer closures being in place around central and western areas of Harrogate.

As those who've experienced the Tour de Yorkshire will know, cycle races involve short rolling road closures along the route. These normally start to come in around 30 minutes to 1 hour before the race is due through, and then re-open shortly after the race has passed through (usually within 15 minutes).

Where can I watch the cycling at the UCI Road World Championships on Saturday 28th September?

The UCI World Championship Fan Zone will also be open from 10:00 - 22:00, including views of the finish, televised race action on the big screen, entertainment and loads of stalls. The Fan Zone will be located on the West Park Stray.
