Preparations are already well under way for Yorkshire's biggest cycling event.

The Tour de Yorkshire pays homage to last year's Tour de France and includes impressive climbs and sprints.

The Cow and Calf on Ilkley Moor is at the top of a 17% incline, making it an ideal spectator spot for the event as hundreds of cyclists battle their way up the hill on the Wakefield to Leeds stage.

Amy Proctor, who works at the pub, said: "We're all very excited that the Tour de Yorkshire is passing by us, as we missed out a bit with the Tour de France last year.

"We're expecting a great few days and a fantastic atmosphere at the pub!"

The Tour de Yorkshire will run from 1 to 3 May.
