Great Britain's number five tennis player Liam Broady is set to feature in the men's tournament at the first ever Aegon Ilkley Trophy.

He'll be joined by world top 100 players Dudi Sela from Israel (ranked 91), Malek Jaziri from Tunisia (ranked 85) and 24-year-old rising star Blaz Rola from Slovenia (ranked 97).

21-year-old Broady is looking to build on his successes on the junior circuit, having won both the junior Wimbledon and Australian Open doubles title in 2010.

He's already made an impression on the senior circuit with a successful campaign in 2014, having moved up the world ranking to achieve his current career high of 176.

Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club will host the Aegon Ilkley Trophy from 13 to 21 June.

General Manager Charlie Maunder said: "It's a fantastic coup for the club that our first Aegon tournament has attracted so many upcoming pro-tennis players, many of whom we hope will be the next generation of grand slam winners.

"Ilkley may be a small town, but the appetite for sport here is unrivalled and we look forward to welcoming players from all over the world to play here against the spectacular setting of Ilkley Moor.

"There are still tickets available for the tournament. This is a great opportunity for people in the region to come along and to watch world-class tennis right on their doorstep, and they may even witness a future Wimbledon champion in action. We also have a number of wild card entries still to announce, so watch this space."

The club is appealing for volunteers to give visitors a warm Yorkshire welcome, much like the Tour Makers seen during last year's Grand Départ of the Tour de France.

Opportunities include drivers, stewards, car park attendants, grounds staff, kidzone helpers and manning information desks.

Local businesses are also being encouraged to dress their windows with a tennis theme in the build-up to the tournament.
