New technology is helping police officers in Craven to tackle drug and drink-driving.

A mobile system has gone live in recent weeks which can detect traces of illegal and prescription substances in saliva.

New drug-driving limits were introduced by the Government in March this year.

Drivers face prosecution if they exceed limits set for the presence of eight illegal drugs and eight prescription drugs.

Stray FM has been out with officers on a night shift, seeing the technology in action.

You can hear an exclusive report on tonight's Education and Training Show on Stray Extra from 7pm, where we also discuss road safety and keeping your home secure.
