Events are taking place across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale to mark Armed Forces Day.

It's a chance to show support for serving troops, their families, veterans and cadets.

In Ripon, the Market Place will be filled with displays from veterans and cadets representing all three services.

Other highlights include a Drumhead Service and a flypast of a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

In Harrogate, service personnel plus one guest are being offered free entry to RHS Garden Harlow Carr's Petal to Pot Summer Garden Party.

The Lister Arms in Ilkley is holding a charity event to raise money for the RAF's local cadet squadron whose band will be performing.

All of the pub's staff are wearing 1940s outfits to mark the occasion.

In Skipton, representatives from the forces and veterans will gather on Sunday and march to the war memorial on the High Street for the lowering of the 'Armed Forces Flag'.
