North Yorkshire Police has been involved in raids related to an escalating feud amongst the travelling community which recently saw two teenagers' skulls dug up from a grave.

150 officers took part in the operation led by Durham Constabulary and also involving the South Yorkshire, Cleveland and Northumbria forces.

They carried out raids in York, Doncaster, Middlesbrough, West Rainton in County Durham and near the Baltic Centre in Gateshead.

Officers have made a number of arrests and recovered firearms.
