Flood recovery cash made available

Households affected by the recent flooding across Harrogate, Craven and Wharfedale can now receive £500 to help with costs such as repairs and temporary accommodation.

Local councils will make payments directly into bank accounts for people who already pay their council tax by direct debit and residents don't need to apply for this grant.

Anyone not paying council tax by direct debit is being asked to contact their council which will help them to apply for the payment.

Further support will be provided through council tax support discounts and business rate relief for flooded properties.
