Last chance to have say on airport access

Last chance to have say on airport access

Today is the final day for people to have their say on improving road access to Leeds Bradford Airport.

Three options have been put forward as part of a consultation which has been running since 23 November.

Two of those would see the creation of a new link road from the A65 to the A658, with the third option involving various upgrades to the existing route and junctions.

More than 2,200 people have taken part in the consultation so far.

Councillor Richard Lewis, Leeds City Council's Executive Member for Regeneration, Transport and Planning, said: "The consultation has sparked a great deal of debate, which is what we wanted, and I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to either come to one of the drop-in sessions or fill in the survey.

"Leeds Bradford Airport has a key role to play in the future growth of our economy, so we’d like to hear the views of many more people before this initial consultation period ends."
