We have a few more details about the collision in Pool in Wharfedale. 

Yorkshire Ambulance Service says the incident involved a man in his seventies. He's been taken to Leeds General Infirmary by road ambulance. The extent of his injuries are currently unknown.

We're hearing about a collision in Pool in Wharfedale involving a Land Rover and a pedestrian. 

West Yorkshire Police say it happened at around 4.24pm this afternoon on Main Street. 

A man has been injured however the extent of his injuries are unknown at the moment. 

The incident is causing heavy traffic in the area. 


The Yorkshire Agricultural Society's brand new state-of-the-art exhibition hall has officially opened for business today. 

This lunchtime the Bishop of Leeds, the Right Rev Nick Baines, pulled a 30m giant red ribbon to unveil the new Hall 1- which is the size of 3.5 Olympic swimming pools.

Some good news for North Yorkshrie Police- a safety campaign which asks people to think carefully about the effects of their drinking has been shortlisted for a national award.

North Yorkshire Police’s Alternate campaign aims to tackle the negative impacts of excessive alcohol consumption, with a series of hard-hitting videos highlighting the risks of drinking too much.

Announced today, Alternate has been shortlisted in the “Best use of video” and “Social marketing campaign of the year” categories at the UK Public Sector Communications Awards 2016.

The awards celebrate “excellent communication strategies and campaigns, teams and individuals in local and national government, emergency services and not-for-profit bodies from across the UK”. The winning entries will be announced on Thursday 14 July 2016 at a ceremony in London.


Trains services have resumed this morning, although delays of over half an hour have been experienced on some services.

However, we're now seeing delays to services between Skipton and Bradford Forster Square due to an 'operating incident' at Shipley.
